Terms of service

General

  1.  By using the services provided by YPD the Passenger agrees to these Terms of Service and will abide by them.
  2. YPD reserves the right to modify, update or change these Terms of Service at any time without prior notice. All updates will be published at on this page.
  3. YPD
  4.    Will be on time for Passengers.
    b.    Will communicate with Passengers if a Driver is delayed prior to booking time.
    c.    Will be respectful, helpful and courteous at all times.
    d.    If YPD are not on time the Passenger’s fee will be compensated.
  5. Passengers
  6.    Will be on time for transfers. Guarantee applies.
  7.    Will be respectful and courteous at all times.
  8.    Will be responsible for providing legally regulated child seating as identified by https://safetransport.vic.gov.au/ 
  9.    Will advise YPD prior to the day of their transfer of additional time needed to (i) fit child safety seating or (ii) fill a vehicle with miscellaneous items other than luggage.
  10.    WILL NOT HAVE OPEN ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN ANY VEHICLE AT ANY TIME.
  11.    YPD may immediately terminate the transfer.
  12.    Any fines incurred for this offence will be payable by the Passenger.
  13.    Smoking is prohibited in all Commercial Passenger Vehicles, including e-cigarettes or vaporisers (vapes). YPD may immediately terminate the transfer.
  14. Guarantees
  15. If we are late WE PAY!
  16. Guarantee if YPD is not on time the Passenger’s fee will be compensated;
  17. Local
  18. Receive a reduced fee of $28.00 if waiting more than 5 minutes
  19. This excludes delays caused by force majeure, being involved in an accident, emergency road and utilities works
  20. Charter Hire
  21. Receive a reduced fee of $28.00 if waiting more than 5 minutes
  22. Receive a reduced fee of $50.00 if waiting more than 15 minutes

iii. This excludes delays caused by force majeure, being involved in an accident, emergency road and utilities works

  1. YPD may arrange an alternate service provider at no cost to the Passenger if the waiting time exceeds 30 minutes
  2. Weddings – Traveling to the Wedding Venue
  3. Receive a reduced fee of $28.00 if waiting more than 5 minutes
  4. Receive a reduced fee of $50.00 if waiting more than 15 minutes

iii. This excludes delays caused by force majeure, being involved in an accident, emergency road and utilities works

  1. YPD may arrange an alternate service provider at no cost to the Passenger if the waiting time exceeds 30 minutes
  2. Weddings – Travelling from the Wedding Venue
  3.  If Your Private Driver is transferring the Bride & Groom, all agreed departure times confirmed at the time of booking will be delayed in accordance with any delay time of the departure of the Bride & Groom.

ii. Receive a reduced fee of $28.00 if waiting more than 10 minutes

iii. This excludes delays caused by force majeure, being involved in an accident, emergency road and utilities works

iv. YPD may arrange an alternate service provider at no cost to the Passenger if the waiting time exceeds 30 minutes

  1. Airport Transfers- Traveling to the Airport

i. Receive a reduced fee of $28.00 if waiting more than 5 minutes

ii. Receive a reduced fee of $50.00 if waiting more than 20 minutes

iii. This excludes delays caused by force majeure, being involved in an accident, emergency road and utilities works

iv. YPD may arrange an alternate service provider at no cost to the Passenger if the waiting time exceeds 30 minutes

  1. Airport Transfers- Traveling from the Airport

i. Receive a reduced fee of $28.00 if waiting more than 15 minutes at the designated pickup point, after contacting YPD and informing them they are leaving terminal building

ii. Receive a reduced fee of $75.00 if waiting more than 25 minutes at the designated pickup point, after contacting YPD and informing them they are leaving terminal building

iii. This excludes delays caused by force majeure, congestion on the approach to and within the public pickup areas, being involved in an accident, emergency road and utilities works

iv. YPD may arrange an alternate service provider at no cost to the Passenger if the waiting time exceeds 35 minutes

  1. Wait Fees
  2. A wait fees DO NOT APPLY to passengers travelling from medical appointments and airport transfers
  3.    If a Passenger is delayed YPD will –
  4.    Wait 5 minutes then charge a $1.15 per minute wait fee
  5.    Any additional charges will be
  6.    invoiced to Passengers who have prepaid their fee or
  7.    added to the fee for Passengers paying at the time of transfer
  8. Cancellations & Refunds
  9.    Local
  10.    A Passenger has the right to cancel their transfer if;
  11.    YPD will be arriving or has not arrived 10 minutes after the scheduled pickup time.
  12.    If a booking is cancelled within 72 hours, then YPD will refund any payments made within 5 business days, excluding the booking fee.
  13.    If a booking is cancelled within 48 hours, then YPD will refund any payments made within 5 business days, excluding the booking fee and the deposit.
  14.    If a booking is cancelled after 48 hours, then YPD will NOT refund any payments made.
  15.    YPD has the right to cancel, without refund, a transfer if;
  16.    A Passenger has not arrived more than 10 minutes after the scheduled pickup time
  17.    A Passenger requests or attempts any illegal or unsafe actions or activities
  18.    A Passenger is delayed by more than 20 minutes from the scheduled pickup time from a medical appointment
  19.    A Passenger has NOT advised YPD at the time of booking that additional time is required to
  20.    fit child safety seating
  21.    fill a vehicle with multiple miscellaneous items other than luggage
  22.    Charter hire
  23.    A Passenger has the right to cancel their transfer if;
  24.    YPD will be arriving or has not arrived 10 minutes after the scheduled pickup time.
  25.    If a booking is cancelled within 7 days, then YPD will refund any payments made within 5 business days, excluding the booking fee.
  26.    If a booking is cancelled within 72 hours, then YPD will refund any payments made within 5 business days, excluding the booking fee and the deposit.
  27.    If a booking is cancelled after 72 hours, then YPD will NOT refund any payments made.
  28.    YPD has the right to cancel, without refund, a transfer if;
  29.    A Passenger has not arrived more than 30 minutes after the scheduled pickup time
  30.    A Passenger requests or attempts any illegal or unsafe actions or activities
  31.    Weddings
  32.    A Passenger has the right to cancel their transfer if;
  33.    YPD will be arriving or has not arrived 10 minutes after the agreed pickup time.
  34.    If a booking is cancelled within 7 days, then YPD will refund any payments made within 5 business days, excluding the booking fee.
  35.    If a booking is cancelled within 48 hours, then YPD will refund any payments made within 5 business days, excluding the booking fee and the deposit.
  36.    If a booking is cancelled after 48 hours, then YPD will NOT refund any payments made.
  37.    YPD has the right to cancel, without refund, a transfer if;
  38.    A Passenger has not arrived more than 10 minutes after the agreed pickup time
  39.    A Passenger requests or attempts any illegal or unsafe actions or activities
  40.    A Passenger has NOT advised YPD at the time of booking that additional time is required to
  41.    fit child safety seating
  42.    fill a vehicle with multiple miscellaneous items other than luggage
  43.    Airport Transfers
  44.    A Passenger has the right to cancel their transfer if;
  45.    YPD will be arriving or has not arrived 10 minutes after the agreed pickup time.
  46.    If a booking is cancelled within 72 hours, then YPD will refund any payments made within 5 business days, excluding the booking fee.
  47.    If a booking is cancelled within 48 hours, then YPD will refund any payments made within 5 business days, excluding the booking fee and the deposit.
  48.    If a booking is cancelled after 48 hours, then YPD will NOT refund any payments made.
  49.    YPD has the right to cancel, without refund, a transfer if;
  50.    A Passenger has not arrived more than 10 minutes after the agreed pickup time
  51.    A Passenger requests or attempts any illegal or unsafe actions or activities
  52.    A Passenger is delayed by more than 30 minutes from the agreed pickup time from Melbourne Airport
  53.    A Passenger has NOT advised YPD at the time of booking that additional time is required to
  54.    fit child safety seating
  55.    fill a vehicle with multiple miscellaneous items other than luggage
  56.    A Passenger has NOT advised YPD at the time of booking that additional luggage capacity is required
  57. Vehicles
  58.    Unless otherwise stated all vehicles are booked as a Regular Service- cleaned daily they may have encountered weather and road conditions. (i.e. dust and mud on the exterior or debris in the interior).
  59. Payment
  60.    Payment of deposits and / or balance of booking fees can be made by –

  1.   Credit card over the phone
  2.    Payment, by prearrangement at time of transfer, may be paid by cash or credit card
  3.   A booking will not be confirmed until the specified deposit on an invoice has been paid by the Passenger.
  4.   Unless payment at time of transfer has been prearranged between YPD and the Passenger, balance of payment must be paid by the specified date on the Passenger’s booking confirmation to guarantee provision of service.
  5.   Payment methods and due dates for payment of balances will be specified on all booking confirmations, invoices and deposit receipts.
  6. Pricing
  7.    Quotes and Estimates are valid for
  8.   14 days for events
  9.     7 days for individuals
  10.    All pricing includes Taxi Service Levy and GST
  11. Fire Danger Ratings
  12.    With a focus on keeping our Passengers and Team safe we do not deliver our service on days declared by the CFA as Catastrophic and reserve the right to modify or cancel our service on days declared by the CFA as Extreme
